Why film?
The number one question when I whip out my big film camera at sessions is "why do you shoot film?". My number one reason I choose film over digital is because of the colors it produces and the way it handles light. It's impossible to replicate those things with a digital camera. I also love how it enables me to slow down and be intentional with my shooting. Instead of shooting hundreds of digital images during a session, I can focus on the interactions between my clients and capture only the most meaningful images.
No need to worry about negatives! You will receive all your images in digital format via online gallery.
How long does it take to get the images back?
Your images will be delivered via an online gallery 2 weeks after your session. You will be able to download the digital files using a 4-digit pin number. You can also share your gallery with family and friends via email or social media.
Need your images back sooner? Shoot me an email and I will get you more information on rush fees.
How long will my session be?
I don't put a specific time limit on sessions. I take whatever time is needed to capture the images you and I will love. A typical family session will last about 1-1.5 hours. Newborn sessions tend to last a little bit longer-usually 2-3 hours.
Help! I’m worried my kids are too crazy to get good pictures!
Don't stress! Most kids get wild during photos and that's OK! In fact, I prefer it that way. We will create the most beautiful images when everybody feels at ease during the session. You just relax and focus on interacting with your kids in the loving and fun way you do every day. Kids will do best when you treat the session as a fun outing versus a chore.
Here are some things I suggest doing to prepare for your photo session.
How do I book my session?
Contact me here to schedule a time to discuss your hopes for your session! If you feel we're a good fit, we'll plan a time for a pre-session consultation to go over the session details and product options. The session fee and the contract will be due at the time of the initial phone call.
