A very favorite family session from this past fall. This cute mama reached out saying she wanted candid, laid-back family photos. Hearing that makes my heart sing! We spent a beautiful fall evening running around a grassy field playing games and snuggling.
If you’re wanting to capture your family in a more natural way, be sure to find a photographer that reflects that style and then be sure to communicate with them what you’re hoping for! One thing I’ve found helpful is to think about the little ways love occurs within your family. Whether that’s snuggles, whispering loving thoughts into your little one’s ear, or sharing in a dance party. And share those thoughts with your photographer. Doing this will help make your family session a little more meaningful.
Another tip for a successful family session is to focus on the connection between you and your child. Don’t worry so much about what they’re doing or how they’re behaving. Loving them, talking to them, getting curious…that’s what will create love and meaningful connection in your photos.
