Spring in Oklahoma City is pure magic—especially when you get to spend it with a sweet family like this one. The Morton family’s session was full of laughter, love, and the kind of golden light that makes everything feel just a little more special. We chose one of my favorite spots for family photos at Lake Hefner, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.
With vibrant greens all around us and that unmistakable spring glow, the backdrop set the tone for a relaxed and joyful morning. Mom, dad, and their baby girl—who’s right around two years old—shared the sweetest connection. From gentle snuggles to playful giggles, every moment felt genuine and full of warmth.
What I love about photographing families at this stage is how expressive toddlers can be. Their curiosity, their delight in simple things—it’s such a beautiful thing to capture. The Mortons were completely present with their little one, and it shows in every frame.
Family photos at Lake Hefner are always a favorite of mine because the location is so versatile. Between the soft light near the water and the peaceful open spaces, it’s an ideal spot for sessions that feel both relaxed and timeless.

If you’re dreaming of your own spring session surrounded by Oklahoma’s natural beauty, I’d love to help you create something meaningful. Let’s capture your family just as you are—full of love, joy, and connection.
