One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is getting to document life’s most meaningful moments—and it’s even more special when those moments belong to family. As a Utah maternity photographer, I had the sweetest opportunity to photograph my cousin and her husband during a recent visit with family.
I photographed their wedding not too long ago, so being able to capture this next beautiful chapter—awaiting the arrival of their first baby—was truly an honor. These two are always such a joy to photograph: fun, relaxed, and completely themselves. They make my job easy.
We shot this session in one of my all-time favorite places: up Provo Canyon, tucked between the mountains and pine trees. It was one of those perfect Utah evenings—golden light, crisp air, and the kind of peaceful quiet that makes you take a deep breath and just soak it all in.
This location holds so much beauty, and it felt like the perfect backdrop to mark this season of waiting and anticipation. I love how these images reflect both the joy and tenderness of this moment in their story.
If you’re looking for a Utah maternity photographer who will capture your growing family in a way that feels true to you—whether that’s in the mountains, at home, or somewhere in between—I’d love to connect.
This session was a reminder of how beautiful and fleeting this season is, and how powerful it is to freeze it in time.
My love for photography began in a high school darkroom, watching images slowly appear. Since then, I’ve been drawn to quiet, meaningful moments rooted in connection and home. As a mother of three and a film photographer, I approach each story with care, seeking what’s honest and lasting.
Here on the blog, you’ll find recent sessions, tips, and reflections—whether you’re a fellow creative, a brand, or a mother wanting to capture this season. I hope it leaves you inspired and more in love with your own story.
