As a photographer, some of my favorite sessions happen right at home. The Peery family invited me into their cozy space for an in home photo session in OKC, and what we captured was the kind of quiet, meaningful magic that often goes unnoticed in the day-to-day.
We snuggled on the couch under soft blankets, flipped through favorite storybooks, and sang together around the piano—voices layered over laughter and love. Snack time in the kitchen brought its own charm: little hands reaching for treats, crumbs scattered with joy, and that easy rhythm families fall into in the spaces they know best.
These are the moments that might not feel significant in the moment, but will one day mean everything. Imagine looking back after moving away from this house—suddenly, every detail becomes a memory. The kitchen where you learned to cook your mother’s famous spaghetti recipe. The piano bench worn smooth by years of song. The stuffed animal that had to be part of bedtime, every single night.
That’s the power of an in home photo session in OKC. It preserves the ordinary in the most extraordinary way. It tells the story of who you were, where you lived, and how you loved—right now, in this season.
My love for photography began in a high school darkroom, watching images slowly appear. Since then, I’ve been drawn to quiet, meaningful moments rooted in connection and home. As a mother of three and a film photographer, I approach each story with care, seeking what’s honest and lasting.
Here on the blog, you’ll find recent sessions, tips, and reflections—whether you’re a fellow creative, a brand, or a mother wanting to capture this season. I hope it leaves you inspired and more in love with your own story.
