As an OKC natural light photographer, I love capturing the glow of motherhood, especially during golden fall evenings. Recently, I had the honor of photographing Hannah’s maternity session at beautiful Lake Hefner.
The fall colors, soft breeze, and sunset light made this session absolutely magical. Because Lake Hefner offers wide open skies and natural textures, it created the perfect, timeless backdrop for Hannah’s portraits.
Hannah looked radiant in her linen dress, and the natural light added a warm, golden glow to every image. Although the evening started breezy, we embraced it, which gave her portraits an effortless, windswept feel.
As an OKC natural light photographer, I always recommend scheduling outdoor sessions an hour or two before sunset for that dreamy, glowing look. Fall sessions, in particular, bring a richness to colors that feels so cozy and nostalgic.
If you are planning a maternity session this fall, here are a few tips:
- Choose soft, neutral colors. They photograph beautifully against fall landscapes.
- Expect some wind. It adds beautiful movement to your photos!
- Relax and enjoy. The best images come from natural, happy moments.
Overall, photographing Hannah at Lake Hefner was such a gift. This season of waiting is so full of beauty, and I’m grateful to have captured it. Reach out today to schedule your own session!
