As a natural newborn photographer in Oklahoma City, I often get asked, “What if we don’t have good light in our home?” It’s a fair question—especially for families who want that soft, bright, natural look but live in spaces with limited window light.
That was the case with sweet baby Ari and his parents. They wanted an airy, joyful feel for their photos, but their home didn’t have a lot of natural light. The good news? You don’t have to have perfect lighting. With the help of my studio lighting setup—intentionally designed to mimic natural daylight—we created a gallery full of soft, luminous images that feel just as authentic and timeless.

A Session Full of Heart
Ari’s session was full of warmth, love, and thoughtful details. His parents welcomed me into their space with so much calm and intention, and every corner of their session felt deeply personal.
From the beginning, Brittany (an amazing Oklahoma City realtor and first-time mom!) knew she wanted their photos to reflect their family’s story. I always encourage clients to include sentimental touches in their session, and this one was full of them:
- A delicate Tiffany baby rattle gifted to baby Ari
- A beautiful Persian rug passed down through family
- A stunning custom monogrammed outfit for Ari
These little details make such a difference. They anchor the images in meaning and turn your photos into a family legacy.

The Beauty of Natural Newborn Photography—Even Without Natural Light
Natural newborn photography doesn’t mean we’re limited to daylight. What it does mean is that we approach your session with softness, intention, and emotional connection.
My lighting setup allows us to maintain that natural, organic aesthetic—even in homes without large windows or abundant light. Baby Ari’s session is the perfect example of how we can create beautiful, bright images anywhere, as long as there’s love in the room.
If you’re drawn to that soft, relaxed style but unsure if your home is the “right” space—don’t worry. I’ll bring the light with me.

Documenting the Early Days with Meaning
The newborn stage is tender and fleeting. It’s not just about capturing how your baby looks—it’s about preserving the feeling of those early days: the stillness, the awe, the love that grows instantly and endlessly.
As a natural newborn photographer in Oklahoma City, my goal is to create images that feel like you—images rooted in connection, comfort, and the real beauty of your life at home.
Baby Ari’s session was all of that and more. I’m so honored to have been part of it.
